• Responsible for database management and operation in the following areas:
• DBMS administration
• Implement a Database  operation plan, Database backup and recovery 
• DB hardening
• Troubleshooting  DBMS problems and assisting Database system capacity planning
• Performance tuning and handling user requests
  

• To work with and coordinate with the Vendor for the following areas:

• Ensure the stability and reliability of responsible computer systems in providing good quality services to the business units.
• Review the systems and data center health check reports and ensure that all the systems are running correctly and in good health.
• Capacity planning for responsible systems in order to support the business growth.
• Ensure the system security is in accordance with corporate standards.
• Ensure responsible systems can be recovered in accordance with the Business Continuity Plan.
• Plan and schedule the preventive maintenance for all the systems.
• Provide procurement services for evaluating the system solutions, recommendations, and vendor sourcing.
• Work and coordinate with vendors including Central System for troubleshooting, system implementation, and migration.
• Ensure that all the system changes are approved by management and properly logged in the database.
• Ensure that all the system problems are properly attended to and logged in the database.
• Review, analyze and prioritize the services request to meet customer satisfaction.
• Ensure critical data backup and protection with a detailed plan

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma in Computer Science or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems and Database Administration
• Experience in administration of SQL Server and Oracle is a must
• Experience in DB2/Informix/PostgreSQL/Aurora/DynamoDB/ UNIX env. (AIX/Linux) with scripting knowledge is an advantage
• Experience in Window 2012/2016/2019 (including Active Directory Administration), ESXi, VDI, AIX, and AWS cloud is an asset
• Knowledge of Application Servers (IIS, Websphere, and JBOSS), TSM Backup software, Monitoring Software (site scope), Job Scheduling tools (Control-M), and Lotus Notes/Exchange is an advantage
• Self-starter, collaborative, creative, pragmatic,  and customer orientation
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coaching skills
• Good planning and time management skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
