Job Description

Major Responsibilities
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Create and maintain project plans and schedules, and ensure the project requirements are defined and meet the project’s objectives
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Monitor project progress against plan
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the clients and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project management documentation
  • Prepare discussion papers and meeting materials for boards and committees
  • Organize workshops and coordinate promotional events
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned
Requirements
  • University education with over 8 years of relevant experience preferably in financial institutions or consulting firms of which at least 3 years at managerial level
  • Project management related certificate holder is an advantage
  • Experience in delivering Fintech project is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills for maintaining project timelines and developing alternative scenarios
  • Ability to deal with both business users and technical personnel
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese as well as fluency in Putonghua
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior role

The key objective of the company is to develop and operate a safe and efficient multi-currency and multi-dimensional financial infrastructure in Hong Kong. It operates an integrated financial infrastructure platform for:

  • interbank large value funds transfers denominated in HKD, USD, Euro and RMB;
  • interbank money settlement of equity and debt securities transactions in Hong Kong via linkage established with the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and Central Moneymarkets Unit system (CMU);
  • interbank small value funds transfer denominated in HKD and RMB, i.e. the HKD and RMB faster payment systems (FPS);
  • interbank clearing and/or money settlement of retail payments in Hong Kong such as paper cheques, autodebits, autocredits, credit card payments, etc.; and
  • the HKMA’s CMU system, as a computer operator.
