Responsibilities:

• Maintains a high spirit of discipline through supervision and ensures subordinates providing quality services
• Takes responsibility for administrative and planning for the efficient operation of the department
• Ensures all correspondences, both internal and external, are promptly dealt with and referred to the appropriate levels for action or information
• Builds and maintains professional relationship with the Police, Fire Services Department and other government bodies for a better mutual understanding and better co-operation to facilitate high security events to be carried out in the Centre
• Ensures the appropriate working strength to be maintained for security coverage in accordance with the Centre and exhibition requirements
• Ensures the departmental instructions or duties for the employees are properly carried out by close supervision and instruction for them in order to comply with Centre’s strategy
• Develops security strategies for employees to execute security operations in the Centre
• Reviews operational procedures and implementation status of security effectiveness
• Provides security consultation and advice to internal and external parties of the Centre
• Provides adequate trainings and awareness programs for employees to improve their alertness, knowledge and skills
• Sets up core competencies to all level of subordinates with training and coaching programs to improve the operational efficiency
• Assists Senior Manager – Safety & Security on preparing budgets by regular review of financial reports and taking remedial actions to reduce wastage and inefficiencies
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor or above

Requirements:

• Degree holder or above in security administration or other related fields is preferred
• Holder of recognised professional security body certificate in Security Management would be advantageous
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in the security field, with minimum 5 years in managerial level
• Sound knowledge of First Aid, Fire Fighting System, Security System and computer knowledge are essential
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin would be advantageous
• Strong personal presence, outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills
• Good communications skills and supervisory skills
• Good team player
• Good operations management skills
• Able to new challenges and requirements
• Able to work under pressure
