Senior Product Developer - Knitwear

Our client is an EU sourcing office, they are looking for a Senior Product Developer for Knitwear (yarn).

Job Description

• Handle raw material sourcing and development work, build quality guideline and meet quality approval deadline
• Work closely with yarn mills on yarn development
• Cost negotiation and capacity management
• Review, validate info (spec, price and lead time) and identify workable options
• Conduct risk assessment on the quality process and products, raise concerns and offer possible solutions.
• Prepare comments to the mills in quality and testing throughout the sampling and production process.
• Have solid fabric knowledge of knitwear, colour and material context
• Source new suppliers, evaluate and consolidate vendor list

Requirement

• Diploma in textile/fashion or above
• 10 years or above relevant experience in yarn and sweater product development
• Someone with In-depth technical knowledge in knit (yarn) development and production
• Organized, detail-oriented, hard-working and can meet timely deadlines
• Knowledge of dyeing, elastic and other trims is a plus
• Experienced in working in buying office is preferred
• Excellent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, both spoken and written
