Our client, a global legal & risk solution corporation, is looking for a Legal Practice Area Lead / Content Lead / Commissioning Editor to pro-actively approach legal practitioners/lawyers in daily operations. It is an initial 6 months' contract role with possibility to extend contract or be a permanent staff.

Responsibilities:

• Manage relationships with existing authors

• Acquisition of legal content from existing authors

• Commissioning new authors and content relevant to areas of legal practice

• Identify and maintain record of key parties of interest; Succession planning of Authors

• Demonstrate and articulate subject matter expertise in the practice area relevant to portfolio

• Keep abreast of legal developments within target practice area

• Identify and track core subscriber base for practice area

• Support Sales and Marketing teams with information relating to content within the product catalogue

• Assist in developing product enhancements and product roadmaps

• Work with Strategy team to ensure alignment of activity to overarching business strategy

• Ensure a timely delivery of content from external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Degree in Law or legal / compliance relevant qualifications

• 2 years or above of relevant work experience for the acquisition of legal content from legal practitioners, including existing authors and commissioning new content writers.

• Demonstrated practical legal knowledge and understanding of legal markets

• Experience in product development would be advantageous

• Excellent communication skills and people skills

• Passion for winning - ability to devise, drive and deliver content strategy
