Senior Fabric Merchandiser - Apparel

Our client is a well-known international fashion retailer, they are hiring a Senior Fabric Merchandiser responsible for the end-to-end sourcing and merchandising process of textile.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and negotiate with vendors on quantity, quality, price, and lead times etc; manage the production schedules to meet timeline;
• Communicate with vendors and mills factory for development and production.
• Identify any potential risks to fabric performance & trouble shoot to resolve & recommend options.
• Maintain fabric library to support seasonal inspirations as well as archive historical & fundamental fabrications.
• Overseeing update of work in progress tracking & validating dates corresponding to production calendar;
• Assessing and evaluating the overall capabilities of all suppliers, mills & vendors & make recommendations to management, with support of Fabric Team Head;
• Maintaining the quality standard of raw materials; evaluating existing the future material suppliers;
• Monitoring all testing & quality assurance control for all fabrics

Requirements:

• At least 5 - 8 years' solid experience in the fabric field.
• Diploma or above in Textile / Clothing or related discipline. Good knowledge of Woven Fabric or Knit Fabric.
• Experience in USA market is highly preferable.
• Detail-minded, strong accuracy with good problem-solving skills and able to meet various deadlines. Strong multi-tasking ability.
• Good command of both written and spoken English, Chinese including Mandarin.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
