SHOP MANAGER - FLORAL & LIFESTYLE
We are looking for a confident and passionate leader who can blend commercial focus with creativity and great people skills in order to grow with us at Ellermann. This role requires the ability to operate at pace in a creative retail environment and switch between long-term strategic initiatives and pivot into rapid, tactical actions with a focus on details.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working as part of a team of retail florists led by a Manager
- Management of the respective retail team and all store functions including staffing, arranging roster, training, inventory, visual presentation, customer service, point-of-sale and overall store operations
- Lead, motivate, train and coach the retail florists for optimizing sales performance to achieve monthly sales targets set by the General Manager
- Provide outstanding customer experience and shopping environment for a diverse customer based
- Build-up, maintain and outspread the customer database
- Maintain the highest standards of retail presentation, cleanliness, order and functional operations.
- Ensure Ellermann standards are met with a wide and interesting selection of ingredient while monitoring and maintaining cost and wastage control.
- Develop relationships with clients and related business partners to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure clients experience a positive outlook on Ellermann and a greater knowledge of our services including personal events and corporate projects with all sales leads are followed up personally or passed along to the correct member of the Ellermann team.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting
ATTRIBUTES:
- Decision maker, problem solver, independent, knows how to prioritize
- A clear passion in floristry. Experience in the flower industry will be an asset but not essential
- 5+ years relevant experience in retail environment with 2+ years in a team lead/ managerial role
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to work within set budgets and able to work under pressure
- Proven track record in sales generation, managing the achievement of sales result and profitability targets
- Experience of high end customer care with a commitment to understanding customer needs, delighting them and going the extra mile
- Experience of professional networking and relationship building
- Excellent people skills
- Good command in handling POS & computer
- Ready to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English and Cantonese
