Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To co-ordinate all ticketing matters including co-ordination between ticketing service providers and screening venues, ticketing system set up, allocation of tickets, ticket refund arrangement, priority booking, preparation of film scheduling and sales reports etc.;
  • To prepare and manage all ticket sales-related reports;
  • To assist the Operations team in all issues related to festival operations including:

    • handling enquiries and complaints related to the operations of the Society organized events;
    • preparing materials for film scheduling and HKIFF website and booking folders;
    • assisting in proof-reading contents of the HKIFF website and booking folders before launch and printing;
    • update websites and mobile app content;
    • co-ordinating delivery of HKIFF booking folders and other promotional materials;
    • preparing Festival passes for staff, guests and media;
    • co-ordinating with screening venues to ensure smooth audience flow;
    • co-ordinating and taking care of setup and operations of the online streming platform;
    • co-ordinating events and activities (including the 46th HKIFF Opening, other Premiere events, online events and other Society organized events and activities);
    • taking care of logistics and setup of HKIFF Temporary Office;
    • assuming duties at HKIFF Temporary Office/ counter during the annual HKIFF;
    • assuming guest reception duties;
    • assuming ticket sales and ticket redemption reception at designated venues;
    • co-ordinating meeting schedule, preparing agenda and minutes; and 
  • To perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • University graduate or equivalent;
  • Proactive, Independent, good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • 2 - 3 years' full-time working experience in film-related field will be an advantage;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua;
  • Sensitive to figures and strong attention to detail;
  • Understand web and mobile app trends and experience in managing CMS will be an advantage;
  • Experience in ticketing and working in the film industry/arts and culture sector/cinema will be an advantage;
  • Proficient in PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); and
  • Require to work overtime and at irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during peak seasons;
