Job Description

Would you like to join the G4S elite screening team as a Security Screener and contribute to the air cargo security and the prosperity of Hong Kong air cargo industry.
Following the international enhancement requirement of air cargo security, the demands for air cargo screening has increased significantly, and G4S is now looking for suitable candidates to join our Aviation and Logistics Division as Security Screeners to meet the expanding demands from our clients of the Regulated Air Cargo Screening Facility (RACSF). 
As the international requirement specified that the implementation to be in place by 1st July 2021, hence security screening posts are on the rising trend. As such Security Screener is a stable career and with good opportunity for advancement to higher posts. Prior to screening deployment, G4S will provide comprehensive training on air cargo screening using x-ray equipment and physical search.
One should possess the following criteria for applying the post of G4S Security Screener :
(a) General Criteria
  1. are self motivated and hard working, and can perform screening on your own
  2. have an aptitude for operating security equipment
  3. are able to communicate in Cantonese
  4. possess a high standard of appearance and deportment 
  5. be able to produce documentary proofs of at least 5 year of previous employment history
  6. able to produce criminal conviction history if any
  7. there is no restriction in employment in Hong Kong
 (b) Educational Criteria
  1. Attained at least a minimum educational level of Secondary 5 or equivalent
(c) Medical Criteria
  1. have good general health, reasonable strength and no physical incapability
  2. with or without spectacles or contact lenses, be able to read correctly vehicle number plate at 25m distance and be able to read labels on bottles of spirits and aerosols at a distance selected by the medical examiner between 30 to 50cm
  3. have normal colour perception through Ishihara's test and Edridge-Green lantern test
  4. have a capacity to detect by smell a range of substances including petrol, ammonia, alcoholic drinks and explosive materials (similar to the essence of almonds, oil of cloves)
  5. with or without aid, be able to hear radio and telephone communications, audio signals emitted by security equipment, and an average of conversational human voice at a distance of 2.5m in a quiet room, and 
  6. be free from dependence on alcohol or illegal drugs. 
As a Security Screener, you are required to
  1. perform security screening of air cargo in shift duty
  2. wear uniform
  3. the other usual stuff.............
