Job Description
The Category Assistant is supporting our Merchandising and Planning teams in their daily business and takes part in projects to improve how the category works together. He/she will work in one of our brand teams and will support the management of Promotions & Margins, as well as Orders & Inventory.
- Management of Purchase Orders
- Maintenance/Tracking
- Coordination with brand partners & DFS logistic team
- Support in all Pricing-related topics, particularly for our monthly promotional activities
- Creation of Price Changes & Promotions in system
- Follow-up on execution
- Support Revenue Management with Vendor Support agreements
- Creation
- Tracking
- Follow-up with brand partners
- Maintenance of relevant category reports
- Management of return logistics and other merchandising topics with brand partners
- Support of ad-hoc and improvement projects
Key Requirements
- College or University Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Previous merchandising and/or planning and/or Shared Services Center Preferred
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent at problem solving and handling multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Action Oriented
- Customer Focus (internal customer) and Interpersonal Savvy
