We are now seeking candidates to join our Compliance team as a Compliance Specialist. Reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance, you will be responsible for maintaining and executing OPIM’s internal policies which help the company to maintain its corporate integrity and regulatory compliance. You will also be responsible for assisting the Compliance team with fund documentation during the client onboarding process. With your background in legal, company secretarial, or finance related industry, your ability to multitask, strong communication and drafting skills will be instrumental to helping OPIM fortify its compliance and regulatory framework and further extend leadership in the market. On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing daily compliance monitoring tasks and generate reports for senior management review on periodic basis;
• Coordinate compliance requirements with fund counterparties and clients;
• Provide support in fund establishment projects including fund documentation drafting and review, account opening assistance, AML screening and KYC verification;
• Update the Company’s policies and procedural manuals to ensure compliance with latest regulatory requirements;
• Perform tasks relating to SFC licensing, amongst others, completing questionnaires, applying individual licence and submitting notifications and returns;
• Assist senior compliance staff on other ad hoc duties.

Requirements:

• Degree holder, preferably in law, finance or related discipline;
• At least one year experience in compliance field ;
• Knowledge in SFO and SFC rules and regulations would be an advantage ;
• Good research & drafting skills ;
• Proficient in both verbal and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) ;
• Self-motivated, analytical and able to multitask.
