Here's a wonderful opportunity to take charge of all accounting responsibilities for this small, intimate office of a well-known international law firm. 

What 
You’ll be handling all accounting and finance duties for an office of fewer than 20 staff (and growing), reporting to the CFO in England, with daily reporting to the Hong Kong partner-in-charge. 

The usual stuff you would see in successful law firm, you’ll be responsible for billings (AP), invoicing (AR), C&B, expenses, purchase ledger, chasing debts and reviewing wip, as well as ensure compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, and on-going liaison with the firm’s auditors and the HK Law Society.

You’ll need to take the rough with the smooth. Sometimes, you’ll be working on complex accounting matters. At other times, there's lots of low-level administrative things. It’s all in your hands. 

You

• Excellent English communication skills, and you're also EXCEL-lent ;-)
• Experienced accounting professional with a decent amount of experience in a law firm in Hong Kong
• Knows the HK Solicitors’ Accounts Rules inside-out, keeps up to date with any changes 
• Fast on your feet!
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to handle first lines of enquiry and knows what to ask and to clarify and resolve the query  
• No job is too small, no invoicing project too big
• Self-starter, independent 

Amazing

• In particular, Elite 3E competent  
• Able to work independently and use your own initiative to get things done
• CPA qualification is definitely the icing on the cake (although certainly not mandatory) 
• Good at building relationships with stakeholders
• Confident and clear communication skills
