Job Description

You will be responsible for:

  • leading full cycle of application development from requirement collection, design, coding and testing to deployment;
  • managing development vendors and contractors and ensuring all the development works are consistent with the defined development standards and best practices;
  • playing a leading role in software quality control by means of functional and non-functional testing throughout all development stages;
  • playing a key role in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes, and working closely with the infrastructure team to deliver high quality products in shortest possible time;
  • providing Level 2 support, troubleshooting complex problems and ensuring system / service availability meets defined service level;
  • managing Level 3 vendor support and facilitating vendor troubleshooting; and
  • taking call-on duty in case of critical incident requiring immediate technical investigation and quick fix.

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent;
  • have preferably 5 years of experience;
  • have experience in developing web applications (e.g. Spring, RESTful, Spring Cloud, JAX-WS and web services);
  • possess solid experience in digital projects involving excellent user interface and mobile technologies (e.g. JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, AngularJS and Cordova);
  • have strong knowledge of database tools (e.g. SQL Server, JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, Spring Data);
  • have experience in object oriented design, data modelling, and analysis methodologies;
  • have strong technical background in configuration management automation tools and scripting (e.g. Ansible, Docker, Puppet, Chef);
  • have experience in multiple areas in application architecture, system integration, application servers (e.g. WebLogic, JBOSS, IIS), software testing tool (e.g. Rational Function Testers), reporting tool (e.g. Business Objects), application development (e.g. .Net, J2EE), application security and control;
  • have sound experience in managing automated testing solutions;
  • have good understanding of continuous integration practice and related tools (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, Git Enterprise); and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
