As they strive to keep a competitive edge in leading at the forefront of the industry, they now seek a high calibre Business Manager to support the management team.

Reporting directly to the Regional Chief Operations Officer, you will support all strategic initiatives and projects across the region, including:

• Supporting the COO and senior management team in devising the strategic direction for the Asia region
• Build relationships with the business heads to put together a plan of action to achieve their strategic mission
• Work with the business to track and monitor their financial performance, help understand profitability and develop strategies to maximise opportunities
• Manage pricing of proposals and contracts for key clients to increase margins and profitability
• Be involved in putting in place strategies to develop high potentials, attract and retain good talent for the growth of the business
• Research and analyse market trends, competitor activity and identify key industries and clients to engage and develop opportunities to cross sell throughout the business
• Manage business and operational matters and seek to drive forward objectives to improve efficiency and change, utilising technology or other concepts for innovation
• Key business partnering role to bridge the management team and heads of departments for the region and with global jurisdictions
• Project manage global initiatives and ad hoc projects as necessary

This is a high profile role to work on global, regional and local strategic matters. Suitable candidates are likely to be:

• Qualified accountant with a ACA/CIMA or equivalent MBA degree
• Have 12-15 years of experience in working a Big 4 firm or management consulting environment followed by blue chip in-house experience within a business services or professional services environment
• Be highly numerate with an analytical background, and ability to read financial data, interpret and deliver results in an easy to understand manner
• Ability to apply numbers to assess scenarios, commercial viability and profitability for ‘go’ or ‘no go’ decisions
• Have the gravitas and confidence to present effectively to the senior management team in Asia and Global Headquarters
• Enjoy interacting and working with the business, influencing others and project managing tasks to completion
• Have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and enjoy problem solving
• Self-sufficient in nature, proactive and taking ownership for initiatives
• Strong communication skills both spoken and written in English and ideally Chinese
• Proven experience of working in China and Asia, appreciating the business landscape in different jurisdictions
