Job Description

Arup is seeking a creative, highly organized candidate to execute events that promote excellence and innovation to generate brand awareness internally and externally. The goal is to ensure that all events are flawlessly executed with the desired outcomes to the firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the planning and delivery of innovation training workshops and client workshops/events organized by the corporate university, including, conceptualizing ideas, creating and enforcing budgets, liaising with suppliers, communicating speakers, reporting to management, and steering the taskforce to accomplish the objectives
  • Provide event management support to events/initiatives organized under the corporate university, to ensure the events/initiatives are delivered with good quality and within budget
  • Supervise the delivery logistics of internal training, including collaborating with the Learning team, communication with trainers, regular review, and logistics improvement implementation
  • Develop and implement annual strategy to raise awareness of Arup technical excellence and innovation internally and externally
  • Be the connection point of the corporate university team to work collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications team
  • Coordinate the promotion and distribution of publications produced by the corporate university, including a client magazine, technical reports and books
  • Be creative in identifying new means and formulating new processes to continuously improve the service
  • Build and maintain a strong and sustainable relationship with stakeholders and partners
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience required:
  • Degree in Business Management, Communications, Public Relations, or related discipline
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience, experience in managerial grade preferred
  • Experience in project management with a track record of successful events
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
  • Highly creative with ability to think out of box
  • A professional relationship builder and collaborative team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and use new technology and adopt new practice
  • Strong self-motivation to drive substantiable, value-adding and continuous developments
  • Strong sense of trends in customer communication in an advantage, especially on the application of new technology and new media to achieve effective communication and influence
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin with strong writing skills
