About the Role

A data analyst at Urban Spring is responsible for data related projects including data infrastructure design and implementation, business analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in different aspects of data analytics, including data manipulation, mining, and visualisation. They will be responsible for conducting both recurring and ad hoc analysis for business users. This role supports organisation-wide decision making and strategic planning for continued innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and translate requirements from external/internal clients in order to design, develop, and implement insightful reports and dashboards that drive decision making.
• Identify business questions, perform analysis, interpret findings, and present solutions to stakeholders.
• Evaluate internal systems & develop protocols for handling, processing, and cleansing data.
• Develop and maintain statistical models for preventive maintenance.
• Work with software engineering team to define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting appropriate tool to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution.
• Work closely with business development and service experience teams to understand their analytical needs and identify critical metrics and KPIs.

Desired Experience and Skills

• At least 1 year of work experience in data analytics.
• Cloud database experience including proficiency in SQL and/or Python.
• Experience in data visualisation with BI tools, e.g. Tableau.
• Possession of dynamic communication skills and curiosity of business trends are important for participating in articulating actionable insights from raw data and for facilitating business discussions.
• Degree in statistics, information management, computer science or relevant disciplines.
• Knowledge in Internet-of-Things is a plus.
