- Leads the effort to translate business strategies and objectives into IT solutions and capabilities. Functions as a liaison to Business and IT partners in order to gain a broad understanding of industry trends and innovations, and their impact on technology.
- Maintains work plans, incident tracking, error tracking, and documentation required to effectively manage deliverables and expectations consistent with business requirements.
- Optimize the system development practice by centralizing resources with high-demand and unique knowledge or skills.
- Improves ROI through the identification and development of reusable assets.
- Quality Assurance (i.e. UAT Test Plan, UAT Test Script/Scenario, UAT sign off) System Development
- Evaluate impacts and escalate issues and risk appropriately Provides overall direction, guidance and definition of CoE to effectively support business strategy
- Take ownership and a ‘hands on’ approach to define and deliver a program of work to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of a core business process
Requirements
- Higher diploma holder or above in an IT related discipline
- Around 10 years of relevant team management experience.
- Insurance experience in New Business, Underwriting, Policy Administration or Claims is a must
- Familiar working in a Scrum team, DevSecOps, Full Stake Development
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
- Experience with systems and IT operations
- Technical skills including but not limited to : Unix, Linus, Windows, Java, Visual Basic.NET, Visual C#.NET, Shell script, DOS, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Struts, SOAP, Restful Web Services, Mulesoft, JSON, JQuery, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Plus, SQL Server SQL Programming and SSIS, MySQL, Jasper Report/iReport, Crystal Report, Fine Report, QlikSense, SIP, Quadient/GMC \
- Knowledge in UiPath, Salesforce, Tomcat, Apache is an advantage
- Being comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
- Responsible for vendor management
- Lead system design and analysis with hands-on development and implementation
- Understanding and focus on business outcomes
- Understanding and efficiency in collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
- Strong communicator. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English
