Responsibilities:

• Refine architecture of STP Platform Portal for extensibility & sustainability.
• Modularise complex system into manageable sub-systems with clear interfaces.
• Advise on architecture framework in form of technology stack, principles, guidelines, best practices, tools, etc.
• Design the system structure by considering both user requirements & cost-benefit scale.
• Produce & manage design documents & diagrams related to frontend & backend applications, micro-services, data governance, from different perspectives like development, integration, deployment, operation, etc.
• Translate business user requirements into technical specifications.
• Conduct acceptance tests to verify if implementation is in accordance with requirements & specifications.
• Lead an internal development team & manage external vendors to go through project lifecycles.
• Ensure that project deliverables (e.g. documentation, codebase, testing, etc.) are of high quality.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subjects
• 10 years of experience in software development, including 3+ years of experience as system/solution architecture; Commencing position will be commensurate with qualifications, relevant experience and competencies
• Able to lead a development team and manage vendors, being familiar with agile methodology would be an advantage
• Exposure in mission-critical projects as a leader role, with solid project management experience
• In-depth knowledge on how to structure a complex system of applications
• Solid hands-on experience in frontend and backend development, using latest technologies like TypeScript, Angular.js/React.js, Node.js, MongoDB, etc.
• Good concept about container orchestration via Docker and Kubernetes would be an advantage
• Experience in micro-services system design & development
• Experience in Open API 3.0 design & integration would be an advantage
• Self- motivated, organized and being a good team player
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese s required.
• Self-motivated, organized, great interpersonal and communication skill, and a good team player and manager able to multi-task and work under pressure and tight schedule
