Job Purpose:
We need a technical and professional engineering underwriter to focus in developing engineering business with local intermediaries . This candidate needs to have ability to underwrite both civil and superstructure contracts plus other engineering products like construction plant and machinery. He/ she needs to do both marketing and underwriting.

Main Responsibilities:  

• Marketing and enhance business relationship with local intermediaries to develop construction and engineering business, knowledge to EC and bond underwriting is a further advantage
• Underwriting submission review, price analysis and decide reasonable and appropriate underwriting terms and conditions
• Manage day-to-day operation of the construction portfolio 
• Provide technical support on engineering issues to other team members, when needed
• Communicate with underwriting head and treaty leader on special cases

Incumbent Requirements:

• More than 10 years experience in underwriting construction and engineering business of Hong Kong, preferably with ACII, ANZII or other insurance professional qualifications
• University degree in engineering
• Has good connection with local intermediaries
• Strong communication, interpersonal skill 
• Work independently
• Good command of both written sand spoken English and Chinese
• Good team spirit and collaboration with other teammates.
