Requirements:

• Qualified accountants with over 15 years corporate financial reporting experience in sizeable corporations, preferably with at least 3 years fundamental audit experience;
• Familiar with HK & PRC GAAP, taxation and operations;
• Able to adopt a meticulous approach to analyse any operational concerns behind the financial data
• Occasional cross border travel to China is required;
• Good spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin) required;

Major Responsibilities: 

• Lead one of our local accounting teams to comply with local statutory financial reporting and filing in accordance with the HK & PRC laws and regulations
• Manage the monthly financial and management reporting (including group & sub-group consolidation), operational control, budgeting and forecasting of certain companies under different business segments/ units to Head Office in Hong Kong.
• Work with the management team to set financial metrics for measurement of company performance
• Develop and drive implementation of sound internal control procedures under an effective risk management framework in accordance with group policy
• Liaison with external parties like business partners for consortium investments and respective professional parties for corporate exercise, in particular, group’s auditors for regular assurance & tax assignments and ultimate annual report issuance
• Keep abreast of applicable finance- and accounting-related legislation to ensure compliance with all fiduciary responsibilities, e.g. internal audit, GAAP etc.

Handle finance and accounting related projects as assigned by senior management of Head office from time to time
