Our client is a very well-known global lifestyle fashion company with very strong presence in Asia and worldwide. Their sourcing arm in China is looking for a Head of Costing for their Footwear division located in Xiamen, China.

Key responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to China Sourcing Director
• Define and implement strategies alongside with suppliers / business units / product development teams & management to ensure cost challenges & maximize profitability opportunities.
• Lead the costing team working alongside product development team from briefing through to prototyping to a final product to achieve target FOB & margins on a product level while maintaining and elevating product value.
• Ensure labor costs and overheads are constantly optimized and monitored to ensure supply base is smooth while ensuring product costs are relevant and efficient, across the board
• Participate in product review sessions to ensure the target FOB is set appropriately as well as providing expert input to maximize value and reduce cost.
• Lead price negotiations with Suppliers to ensure business unit and footwear margin targets are achieved.
• Stay up to date on pricing and costing trends that may influence the company’s ability to achieve its margin objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree
• Strong industry knowledge in footwear of at least 6 years, including all related input costs across the main manufacturing countries in Asia.
• Familiar with different footwear constructions & manufacturing methods as well as the sourcing cost landscape across Asia.
• Multi-cultural, strong negotiation skills, adaptable, accountable, innovative and solutions driven personality
• Very good in written and spoken English
