Job Description


Responsibilities:
  • Implement an ISO45001 compliance health & safety policy and manage its planning, effectiveness and monitoring of application.
  • Support HUB, Safety Representatives and employees in operating safe working environment, safety activities, safety system implementation and address any safety concerns or issues.
  • Provide advice on current and impending changes on safety management practices and techniques, implication and effects to the business and distribution of safety information.
  • Support risk assessment programme to be controlled by Managers, provide assistance, training and advice where necessary.
  • Implement and operate the applicable on-line safety management platform to comply with the DGF Global Safety Policy.
  • Report significant safety issues to the correct level of management and document serious concerns.
  • Implement and deliver a DHL Global Forwarding Regional/Country Level safety audit programme.
  • Support a safety training programme to allow Asia Pacific countries to deliver safety training on a regular basis, updating where necessary.
  • Produce, implement and monitor of annual Express Regional level safety plan.
  • Collate accident and incident statistics, ensuring up to date reporting using the on-line system.
  • Recognize the limits of competence and the circumstances where additional specialized internal or external assistance may be required.
  • Liaise and maintain good relationship and open communication at all levels including external enforcing authorities and emergency services where required.
  • Liaise and implement Express Global and Regional safety policies, principles and procedures.
  • Issue summary of Regional Level accident information to Regional Level management teams and Express Global/Regional safety management.
  • Analyze safety data statistics to determine trends and assist in identifying priorities for action.
  • Ensure a robust safety committee and communication structure is implemented at Regional Level.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture to staff and contractors and set a good personal example.
  • Liaise with customers on H&S related issues where required.
  • Align Express Country Level to Express Global and Regional H&S Standards.
  • Set Regional KPI targets aligned with Express Global Safety KPIs.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years in Health & Safety Management in Warehouse/Aviation, private sector and MNC experience within the region
  • Strong communication skills; cross-cultural competency and interpersonal understanding. Be able to influence change at all levels of the organization
  • Diploma or Degree in Health & Safety
  • Certified ISO 45001 Lead/Internal Auditor, and have the knowledge of ISO45001 Health and Safety Standard and its application and techniques e.g. ISO 45001, HSG65, Behavioral Safety Programmes
