Job Description

Based in the APAC Headquarters and as a valuable part of Under Armour’s Global HR team, the Global Talent Mobility Specialist is responsible for supporting teammates in all aspects of end-to-end relocation and assignment management within the Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and African Regions, as well providing support for regional compensation and benefits programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with APAC/EMEA key stakeholders and partners in pre-relocation and global assignment planning to advise on appropriate mobility policy, run scenarios, develop cost projections, and prepare letters and compensation packages
  • Provide support, guidance and expertise to the relocating and global assignment teammates before and during their mobilization
  • Partner closely with vendors, including the global relocation company, household goods and destination services providers, cross-cultural training company and others, to ensure SLAs are met
  • Monitor mobility spend and process vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payment
  • Provide support to employee escalations and exception requests, exercising sound judgment in the absence of policy
  • Manage and regularly audit mobility data, processes and policies to ensure accuracy, consistent delivery and compliance 
  • Collate data points and assist in developing robust reporting on mobility activity, vendor performance, total spend, etc. to analyze and determine trends and patterns in data to story-tell and influence the program, HR and Company initiatives
  • Partner with greater Global Talent Mobility team on projects with strategic focus on mobility policy, vendor selection, stakeholder education and consultation to continuously elevate the program
  • Proactively seek knowledge of both industry and functional specialty researching best practices, legal developments, emerging trends, technological advancements and benchmark comparisons in order to create talent mobility practices that are best in class
  • Take on additional program ownership in the talent mobility area as team scales to meet company growth needs
  • Collaborate with growing HR team on other team initiatives and projects as assigned
  • Support regional Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits) programs and initiatives
  • Provide support with general ad hoc Total Rewards projects and inquiries

QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITES:

  • Attentive to detail, strong organization and time management skills
  • Cross-functional project management experience driving projects and initiatives from concept to implementation
  • Excellent customer service, emotional intelligence, cross-cultural conscientiousness and supportive of diverse communities
  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills—both oral and written
  • Team-player, flexible, adaptable in fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Experience working with confidential data and handling sensitive matters
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and solid understanding of HRIS technologies
  • Introductory understanding of expatriate compensation and benefits, including secondments and local plus packages, and experience in adapting the cultural variations in different global locations
  • Introductory understanding of expatriate tax principles, tax equalization philosophy and general global immigration laws, and ability to interpret and explain to teammates, managers and HR partners
  • Bi/Multi-lingual
  • Personal living or working experience outside of home country and/or a passion for global travel

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in global mobility, Human Resources or directly related field.
  • 3+ years working in a technical role within total rewards, global mobility function or related field
  • Experienced and comfortable in navigating ambiguity, exercising independent judgment to determine the appropriate recommendations that align with program philosophy and practice
  • In-house mobility program experience
  • Experience scaling programs/processes in emerging markets and countries
  • Experience in developing and delivering transformative initiatives
