Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Work as the leader of the investment team to assess and execute private equity, buyout and other investments opportunities across various countries and industries, with focus on the real estate, infrastructure, banking and insurance industries
- Conduct thorough, in-depth fundamental industry, sub-sector, and company research for screening and evaluation of investment opportunities
- Develop detailed, dynamic financial models/scenario analysis to highlight relevant metrics to be used in the investment decision making process
- Prepare written investment and business memos and presentations in support of new investment scenarios for internal and external communications
- Lead the due diligence and full acquisition processes of companies/assets and lead the investment team
- Participate in drafting and negotiation of terms and transaction documents of transaction
- Actively monitor existing portfolio of investments, evaluate business strategies, identify potential areas of improvement, conduct periodical operational and financial review and analyze potential refinancing and exit opportunities
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of management experience working in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting, big 4 or other M&A related discipline conducing financial analysis, modeling and deal execution
- Bachelor/master degree in accounting/business/finance/investment discipline, CPA, CFA, FRM or equivalent qualification would be an advantage
- Strong fundamental industry and company research capabilities; solid quantitative financial analysis skills including fluency in analyzing financial statements and annual reports
- Expert level experience in building and analyzing business and financial models of companies
- Preferably with full cycle live deal experience in real estate, infrastructure, banking and insurance industries with in-depth industry understanding and strong deal execution capabilities including deal structuring, due diligence and terms negotiation
- Experience in independently developing valuation models, including DCFs and comparable companies
- Ability to identify trends and extract themes from data and present them in professional compelling presentation formats (verbal and written)
- Strong document drafting and language capabilities to work on business and investment memos and legal documents in both English and Chinese
- Proactive and reliable self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, strong interpersonal skills/team player with the desire and ability to function effectively in a team environment
- Strong work ethic to persevere; genuine passion for excellence; results-oriented; personal and professional integrity
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken), native fluency preferred
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
