Job Description
Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for development of different FinTech initiatives, such as trade finance, digital currency and cross-border DLT connectivity
- Gather, analyse, document and validate the needs of business stakeholders
- Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and implementing FinTech projects
- Assist in managing scope, progress, cost, resources and stakeholders’ expectations to deliver the project within timeline and budget
- Assist in vendor management in order to meet targeted project timeline
- Assist in providing project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends
- Collaborate closely with all the other teammates and committed to achieve the overall targets of the team
Requirements
- University education with over 10 years’ experience in system development preferably in financial sector for Architect (FinTech); over 5 years’ experience for Senior Specialist (FinTech); over 3 years’ experience for Specialist I (FinTech)
- Familiar with Agile development methodologies
- Enthusiastic on learning new technology
- Proficient in web-based API and Fintech development
- Prior working experience in Hyperledger Fabric, JavaScript ES6 and above, Java Spring Boot, React / Redux, NodeJS, typescript, GraphQL, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microservices, and Docker will be a definite advantage
- Sound knowledge of Design Patterns and Domain Driven Design (DDD) will be a plus
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good technical writing skill
- Knowledge of trade finance is preferable
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

It operates an integrated financial infrastructure platform for:
- interbank large value funds transfers denominated in HKD, USD, Euro and RMB;
- interbank money settlement of equity and debt securities transactions in Hong Kong via linkage established with the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and Central Moneymarkets Unit system (CMU);
- interbank small value funds transfer denominated in HKD and RMB, i.e. the HKD and RMB faster payment systems (FPS);
- interbank clearing and/or money settlement of retail payments in Hong Kong such as paper cheques, autodebits, autocredits, credit card payments, etc.; and
- the HKMA’s CMU system, as a computer operator.
