Our client, a well-established Bank in Hong Kong, is looking for a high-calibre candidate to join their Group:

Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and improve operational and conduct risk and control within Operations department by conducting operational risk monitoring duties and to ensure Risk and Control Self-Assessment (“RCSA”) are periodically reviewed, with mitigation actions properly implemented
• Manage and review business and operational process to ensure proper implementation of corrective actions to address process and control deficiencies for Operations department
• Assess and give insights on control needs for operational risks mitigation
• Ensure policies, guidelines, procedures and practices are in place to address key operational risks that are aligned with the Bank’s statutory and regulatory requirements
• Follow up and make sure audit findings are rectified properly. Undertake consistent liaison and collaboration with internal audit, external audit, ORM, compliance
• Give suggestions received from compliance assessment, gap analysis exercises are implemented
• Monitor the operational risk KRIs and ensure these are being rectified
• Conduct quality assurance testing of relevant controls when required
• Assist regular and ad hoc risk management projects, e.g., risk tool implementation, business impact analysis, dashboards

Requirements:

• Degree holder or equivalent preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management or related professional qualification
• 5 - 8 years of banking experience in process design, operation and operational risk management
• Good knowledge of a variety of banking products and operational risk management framework, best practices in quality and presentation
• High awareness of both quality and risk, especially compliance-related risk and security issues
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Manager
