Job Description
Responsibilities
- To assist the business head to implement all compliance related policies and procedures in the department
- Act as the main contact between compliance and business units and be responsible for all compliance related matters, including internal control functions
- Review policies & procedures, risk assessment materials and to analyze the compliance risks in new businesses / products / systems
- Conduct AML and compliance related review / monitoring to identify possible compliance risks and provide recommendations to enhance control weaknesses / mitigate non-compliance risks
- Review KYC profiles and account opening applications
- Perform self-assessment, gap analysis against internal or regulatory requirements
- Prepare regular and management reports on compliance related review results
- Handle internal / external review or auditing issues
- Provide risk and control training within the Private Wealth Management department and support to Product Managers and Relationship Managers
Requirements
- Degree holder in Risk Management, Business, Finance or related disciplines preferred
- Associate AML Professional (AAMLP) of HKIB preferred
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in operational risk management or regulatory compliance areas in a financial institution and preferably in supervisory position; those with less experience will be considered as well
- Familiar with the AML / KYC and regulatory requirements relevant to private wealth management functions
- Able to work independently on various projects and meet tight deadlines
- Self-initiative and a strong team player
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in Putonghua, English and Cantonese
