Job Description

Job Summary:
The jobholder is responsible to assist the Product & UW manager on product filings, workflow improvement update and A&H-related business analytics; To underwrite accident & health risks in line with the Company’s strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Review applications for medically underwritten benefits to assess pre-existing medical history and evaluate morbidity and mortality risk  
  • Implement prudent underwriting practise under authority limit, in line with company’s underwriting philosophies
  • To work with other departments to review UAT plan, product setting and carry out system configuration
  • To handle and assist in UW administrative work, such as drafting forms, drafting clauses, translation, statistical analysis, etc.
  • To build and maintain relationships with brokers, distribution team, reinsurers and internal parties.
  • To support and coordinate with Distribution teams on all UW related matters
  • Perform ad hoc projects as assigned
Responsibilities:
  • Degree Holder with professional qualification such as FLMI
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in A&H underwriting
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with agents, brokers and internal departments
  • Detail-minded, strong problem solving and analytical skill, independent, self-motivated & proactive
  • Able to work under pressure and meet challenges and tight deadline
  • Good Command in both written Chinese and English
  • Competent PC knowledge including Excel, word and PowerPoint
