Job Description

Purpose of the role:

TEC’s Group Training Manager will play a key role in strategizing and implementing learning, training and education structures and programs across the regional business. The Group Training Manager will identify and monitor training needs within the organization, and design, plan, and implement training programs, platforms, policies, and procedures to fulfil the business’ commercial and teams’ personnel needs. The manager must ensure to then execute the strategy, and manage the relationships between all involved stakeholders. 

Job responsibilities:  

  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career path planning, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers and local HR
  • Direct the design, planning and implementation of corporate training programs
  • Work across all departments to get teammates up to speed in both their specific vertical, and the overall needs of the company
  • Draw an overall and functionally specific individualised training and development plans that address those needs and expectations
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods, including our app based learning management system to best deliver the training content and the best results
  • Manage the ongoing development, content and engagement of our internal training platform, the app based learning management system
  • Manage any internal or external parties used to deliver matierals and programs
  • Identify new opportunities to bring in 3rd party expertise and knowledge that brings a long term benefit to the teams and business
  • Monitor and evaluate all training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and be able to report on them
  • Manage the respective training budget
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices from outside TEC to identify opportunities for further improvement within the organization 

Job requirements: 

  • Degree holder in HR / Training / People management related discipline
  • With 7 years proven work experience with 3 years or above as a Group or Regional Training Manager, working across multi-locations, functions and cultures
  • Track record in modelling, designing and executing successful training and development programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent delivery skills
  • Effectively communicate with team members, trainers and management
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Critical thinker with innovative problem solving skills
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
  • Good computer and database skills
