Korean International School is seeking a Class Teacher for Primary Level (Korean Section)

Role & Responsibilities:

• Deliver lessons in IPC (International Primary Curriculum) in a structured and coordinated manner with due regard to the ability of the students and the curriculum targets of the particular year group
• Cooperate with a Korean Teacher (The successful candidate will teach in a class room with a partner Korean teacher. The successful candidate will teach according to the IPC in English whereas a Korean teacher will teach according to the Korean curriculum in Korean.)
• Teaching classes such as phonics, oral, presentation, reading & comprehension, fun activities, speech & drama, etc.
• Provide comments and update parents on progress and improvement
• Preparation of class materials & teaching aids (structured lesson plans, course syllabus, materials are provided)
• Contract Period: 16 August 2022 to 31 August 2023 (The contract can be renewed after initial 1-year contract according to the teacher’s intention and school’s decision.)
• Working location: Sai Wan Ho
• Working days and hours: Mon. to Fri., 8:00am to 4:30pm

Requirements:

1. Required

• Permitted teacher or Registered teacher in Hong Kong EDB
• Minimum 1-year experience at a School as a Primary Class teacher
• Good communication and interpersonal skills – Responsible, well-organized, Stable and punctual 
• Able to work cooperatively with Korean teacher
• Must have a HK Permanent ID Card and/or working permission

        2. Preferred

• Primary English Education degree
• TESOL/ CELTYL Certification
• A Bachelor’s degree or above in Mathematics or related fields
• Experience in IPC (International Primary Curriculum)
• More than 3-year experience at a School as a Primary Class teacher
