Major Duties :
(a)

To perform operating and preparing the equipment, instrument, laboratory kits, laboratory sheets, tools and facilities in laboratories, workshops, practical areas and any other teaching areas as required;

(b)

To provide technical support to lecturers and students for the laboratory sessions of Control and Automation System, Industrial Control and Industry Based Student Project; and

(c)

To maintain the safety and tidiness of the teaching areas.

Requirements :
(a)

A recognised diploma or higher certificate in the engineering discipline, preferably in the field of internet and multimedia engineering;

(b)

At least 2 years’ relevant work experience;

(c)

Practical knowledge and skills of setting up / demonstrating experiments for students, maintenance of laboratory equipment, workshops and computer hardware / software installation / maintenance is preferable; and

(d)

Candidates having knowledge in the following areas would be an advantage:

(i)

Electrical power and drives;

(ii)

Electrical installation;

(iii)

PLC programming;

(iv)

LabVIEW software and hardware; and

(v)

Arduino software and hardware.

Classes are normally held on weekdays, from 6:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
