Assistant Engineer(Ref. 22060214)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) facilitate student learning and development, and to assist in pedagogy development;

(b) assist in research support and knowledge transfer activities;

(c) assist in conducting essential operations in the assigned Stream; and

(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Centre or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product and Industrial Engineeringor a related discipline;

(b) competency in one or more of the following domains: sourcing; procurement of material / tools / equipment of engineering industries, stock management, product development, machining and fitting ; 

(c) proficiency in MS Excel and CAD software. Experience in driving in Hong Kong with Hong Kong driving license of class 1 & 2 will be an advantage; and

(d) a good command of both written and spoken English, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
