SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (Ref: HK-ELE-002)

THE POSITION

We have recently secured several high-profile projects in the APAC Region and are now seeking to grow our Hong Kong Office. We are seeking to recruit Senior Engineers to be based in Hong Kong, We are looking for candidates who have already gained significant technical and managerial expertise and want to turbo-charge their growth and career progression.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree Holder in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering

• Minimum 5+ years post graduate experience in the field of Building Services Engineering

• Relevant experience design and/or testing with mission critical facilities such as data centres and banking sector would be a distinct advantage

• MEP Design / Testing & Commissioning Experience is essential.

• Computer literate with experience of industry design software such as CAD, BIM, AMTECH, Dialux, ETAP etc.

• Good people skills and time management skills
• Experience managing small team (approx. 5 engineers) in the capacity of project manager and line manager
• Experience acting as main point of contact for Clients and other stakeholders on multiple projects
• Very good written and spoken English skills. Fluency in a second language would be of benefit.
• Specialist in electrical engineering, while supplementary knowledge of other areas, e.g. HVAC, fire, BMS, plumbing systems and other building systems would be an advantage

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• You would be expected to work autonomously a lot of the time, with limited supervision from directors, and would therefore need to be highly motivated to achieve the level of quality and work expected of you

• Report directly to a director and work to achieve satisfactory conclusions from a highly results-driven organization

• Lead a small team of engineers in the position of Project Manager and Line Manager

• Be seen as specialist and reliable source of technical knowledge in your specialist field of engineering

• Attend site meetings and perform inspections and witness testing on behalf of clients.

• The role involves a significant amount of site-based working, as well as occasional travel outside of Hong Kong

• Duties would include design, specifying and testing and commissioning of Mechanical/Electrical systems related to the built environment with a focus on critical systems engineering.

• Maintain good relationships and communication with colleagues, Clients, and other stakeholders

• Maintain good technical knowledge of the industry and relevant M&E design and industry standards
