Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the cluster Learning & Development function for two hotels in Hong Kong
  • Assist the Director of Learning & Development to ensure departmental L&D plans are in line with the overall hotel strategy
  • Communicate with Department Heads to identify and address colleagues and departmental development needs
  • Deliver Learning & Development programmes in accordance with hotel and company standards and procedures, including product knowledge, company philosophy, guest service and leadership skills
  • Manage internship trainee programme including recruitment, onboarding, training coaching and monitoring
  • Perform administrative tasks to ensure proper maintenance of records, supplies, training venue requirements and manage the hotel’s eLearning Systems, training records and monitor completion rates for necessary training
  • Play an active part in Fire, Life, Health, Safety & Security training to ensure that all relevant compliances are adhered to, as well as recorded and reviewed as per the company guidelines
  • Assist and support in both Human Resources and Learning & Development subjects when required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, or related major
  • 8 years of working experience in Learning and Development field with at least 3 years in managerial or supervisory role
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently
  • Ability to present information to all levels of colleagues proficiently and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in both English & Cantonese 
  • Confident and strong ability to build relationships 
  • Culturally sensitive, self-motivated, well organised and detail minded at work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and any Chinese input method
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for Assistant Learning & Development Manager position.
