The Role

• Lead business development and marketing activities by designing and implementing business development and marketing strategies

Key Accountabilities

• Lead business development and marketing activities by designing and implementing business development and marketing strategies
• Coordinate with BOC Group branches and entities to deepen mutual collaboration and cross selling
• Expand client referral sources and maintain good relationship between BOCI and BOC group entities/branches
• Fulfil business development and marketing KPI set by PB management
• Establish contact with external cooperative agencies/entities and carry out strategic cooperation. The external institutions include but are not limited to local and non-local law firms, accounting firms, asset management companies, cross-border service agencies, real estate agencies, art auction agencies, as well as Invest Hong Kong, Mainland Economic Development Zone/High-tech Zone/ Bonded Zone Management Committee and other government agencies
• Sign customer referral and service cooperation agreements to bring in new clients and net new money
• Conduct joint marketing roadshow promotion with Group’s other branches in APAC zone
• Explore business opportunities and deepen individual high-net-worth client relationships with cross-selling

Skills & Experience

• University graduate, major in Finance, Financial Engineering, or related subject
• Solid experience in the Greater China market and clients with extensive experience serving target clients
• Work experience in Chinese background financial entities is strongly preferred. Such experience can be from any major Asia pacific market including but not limited to Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in private banking relationship management and/or marketing
• HKSI paper 1,2,7,8
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to establish good working relationship with stakeholders
• Able to communicate effectively, attention to details with strong organizational and time management
• Strong compliance mind set
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Mandarin
• Specific knowledge of the private wealth management and investment industry (financial instruments, workflows, major players, trends, etc.)
• Results oriented with proven track record of driving business growth; Strong analytic mind and problem-solving capabilities
