Responsibilities

• Lead team to handle retail and SME corporate account opening cases, where liaison/ follow up with customers for KYC due diligence information is needed
• Understand and comply with the standards and procedures set out, as well as relevant local regulatory requirements (including in respect of AML/CFT/KYC, tax, sanctions and embargoes matters)
• Collaborate with compliance teams in the completion of the KYC Record
• Support data maintenance task related to customer accounts and promptly report any exceptions and irregularities
• Take ownership of individual alert cases using appropriate case management tools and techniques to progress in order to meet timescales for alert investigation process
• Escalates complex or significant issues to Compliance team as appropriate, according to internal standards and procedures.
• Ensure quality and coaching needs for the team are identified and addressed, as well as to identify problem areas and risks associated and make recommendations to improve the quality and/or process efficiency

 Requirements

• Degree holder in Operations or Business related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years’ experience control-related experience on customer services operations, AML and CDD with 3 years in managerial level
• Familiar with Retail banking account operations, including account onboarding, dormant/deceased accounts handling, etc
• Familiar with the banking ordinance and rules, codes and guidelines issued by HKMA
• Flexible attitude to work and ability to think outside the box
• Mature, self-motivated, able to work independently & under pressure, and willing to accept challenges
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, and problem solving skills
• Possess good awareness of operation risk and sensitive to operation irregularity
• Proficient in PC applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese typewriting
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin
