We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as the Commercial Finance Manager in Hong Kong. 

Role Overview:

The Commercial Finance Manager will have responsibility to look after all aspects of commercial decision making, financial performance & reporting, financial control, and stake part in contractual negotiations and discussions. In addition to day-to-day reporting, this role will play a big part in driving financial performance through initiating and supporting profit growth projects and supporting frontline teams to deliver contractual and budget initiatives.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you have had experience within a retail environment that is both technically sound and is also able to face off to the business and challenge where necessary.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist financial and commercial advice to operational management, driving financial performance through commercially sound decision-making and analysis.
• Support the CFO and the management team with the ongoing complexities of the contract and client SLA.
• Involvement in discussions and negotiations with the contract lead, influencing decision-makers to achieve the best possible outcome for the company.
• Work with the operational team to ensure that there is a robust commercial process in place to achieve the company’s budgets and forecasts.
• Fully conversant with ROI concepts
• Commercial savvy and able to distil the short-term and longer-term financial value from transactions
• Worked with pricing decisions and value chain analyses
• Understands pre and post-evaluation of above-the-line and below-the-line advertising spend 
• Preparation of relevant, timely management information to equip the operators with the information required to make business decisions.
• Familiar with commercial contracts and terms

 The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) or holder of CFA qualification
• Proven commercial acumen and negotiation skills gained through experience in dealing with complex contracts.
• Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge, influence and support at all levels
• Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement and driving financial performance
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
• Proven ability to scope and deliver projects
• Team player
• Personal innovation and passion.
• Experience in managing and motivating a team
• A keen attention to detail
• Experienced Microsoft Excel user
• Good command of MS Office (particularly Powerpoint)
• Tableau, Power BI or SAP experience would be an advantage
