Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager (Human Resources & Administration), the incumbent will assume the following:

  1. Perform all rounded HR functions, including Compensation & Benefit, Recruitment & Selection, Onboarding & Departure, Leave Management, etc.
  2. Manage Human Resources management software (HRMS)
  3. Assist in supervising Human Resources and Administration (HR & A) Section to carry out HR & A functions effectively
  4. Assist in reviewing and enhancing office policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance to regulation & internal guidelines
  5. Assist in budget preparation and control to ensure smooth operation in cost-effective manner
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by senior management

Requirements:

  1. Holder of a university degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or equivalent
  2. No less than 5 years of work experience in human resources and administration
  3. Sound knowledge on Employment Ordinance and other employment related ordinances
  4. Good communication and negotiation skills
  5. Good problem solving and multi-tasking abilities
  6. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  7. Responsible, self-motivated, mature and able to work independently in startup environment

This employment with the Travel Industry Authority shall be with a fixed term of three-year contractual period. The offer of further employment beyond the Term will be solely at the discretion of the Travel Industry Authority.

Travel Industry Authority ("TIA")

The TIA is an independent statutory regulatory body established under the Travel Industry Ordinance (Cap. 634) (“Ordinance”).  The TIA is responsible for promoting the integrity, competence and professionalism of travel agents, tourist guides and tour escorts through a statutory licensing and regulatory system, and regulating shops that inbound tour groups are arranged to patronise through an administrative scheme. The TIA is also responsible for managing the Travel Industry Compensation Fund ("TICF") which provides outbound travellers purchasing outbound packages with protection and advising the Government on matters relating to the regulation of the travel industry. With the full commencement of the new regulatory regime on 1 September 2022, the TIA has taken up the licensing and trade regulatory roles from the Travel Agents Registry and the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong respectively.

The TIA is headed by the Executive Director, underpinned by three Directors and other staff members to support the TIA in discharging its statutory functions and daily operation.
