Associate/AVP, Credit Risk Associate, Private Banking

Key Accountabilities

• Conduct assessment on new and renewal of credit application in compliance with Bank’s credit risk policies and underwriting standards; and provide risk mitigation and recommendations for higher approval authority.
• Work closely with front office to provide any potential credit risk mitigation advice.
• Assist in credit risk policies review and enhancement with product knowledge of various asset-classes such as equity, fixed income, funds, listed and OTC derivatives, premium financing and real estates.
• Ensure Credit policies and guidelines are consistent with Bank’s risk appetite and HKMA requirement.
• Assist team head to oversight the Business activities according to Bank’s approved risk governance framework and policies.
• Prepare Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly MIS reports to various stakeholders including but not limited to Head of RMD.
• Partner with functional groups i.e. Legal & Compliance, Operations and Credit Administration, to ensure credit quality and full compliance with Bank’s credit policies and risk appetites
• Assist in ad-hoc projects as required and other duties as assigned by Head of RMD.

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary education with Degree in relevant disciplines
• Sound knowledge of PB Credit Risk with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, and be familiar with related PB procedures, products and local regulatory requirements
• Good team layer with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of English & Chinese, proficiency in written Chinese and fluent Mandarin speaking is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft applications including MS Excel, VBA, Word and PowerPoint
• Hands-on experience with Bloomberg and Temenos
