• Effectively manage the reporting, planning and analysis function for all cost related matters. Drive continuous improvement in quality of reporting and commercial insights, particularly regarding staff costs, non-wage costs & corporate costs. Act as a catalyst for change by challenging assumptions and status quo
• Propose strong commercial advice challenging current business assumptions, including the strategic development for the associated categories (functional cost, staffing/workforce mix, other cost detail analysis, cost recharge from/to, IT cost traditional/arising from new projects, etc.). Be the central point of consolidation, interpretation and advise
• Responsible for the delivery of the planning cycle for costs including formal budgeting and forecasting processes
• As a key role in IFRS 17 project implementation, apply knowledge of the new standard requirements to support system implementation and ongoing maintenance
• Work closely with Group’s IFRS 17 project team, actuarial team as well as external consultants to assess local adoption of Group’s technical accounting policies for HK business and apply the policies to the system implementation
• Develop and maintenance IFRS 17 accounting rules, accounting closing process and document the processes in the standard operating procedure
• Support group and local statutory reporting as well as liaison with external auditors
• Streamlining and enhancement of finance processes to deliver efficiencies
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, and develop a strong understanding of the respective function in depth, including key activities and drivers

• Minimum of 6 years of insurance finance experience with at least 2 years at managerial level; candidate with lesser experience will be also considered as Assistant Manager position
• Finance or Accounting degree holder or above
• Qualified accountant of international recognised accounting bodies
• Big 4 candidate is a plus
• Possess good understanding of IFRS 4 and IFRS 17 requirements for non-life insurance business, concept of accounting entries required under IFRS 4 and IFRS 17
• Practical experience in finance accounting system implementation, and knowledge of PeopleSoft, Workiva and Tagetik systems is an asset
• Capable to identify areas of improvement in finance accounting reporting process
• Organised and discipline in meeting project schedules
• Strong senses of effectiveness financial control and reporting risk management
• Be a team player, able to influence to achieve successful outcomes
