Job Description

Key Responsibilities

The Admissions Officer reports directly to the Director of Admission and is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Admissions process.

In particular the Admissions Officer will be responsible for: 

  • Adhering to the Admissions Policy;

  • Providing an excellent customer service through the timely presentation of brief-aligned information and guidance to prospective applicants;

  • Proactively handling enquiries, ensuring prompt follow-up

  • Supporting with school tours and admissions related events and promotions;

  • Providing statistical information regarding the admissions function;

  • Managing, maintaining and reporting upon the content of a database containing enquiry and contact details;

  • Assisting with reports and presentations;

  • Maintaining the neat and organised presentation of the Admissions department;

  • Ensure strict adherence to the school policy for handling and controlling money received;

  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as directed by the Director of Admissions from time to time.

The Admission Officer will:

  • Be able to communicate effectively in English and, preferably, Chinese;

Child Protection and Safeguarding

Shrewsbury International School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Attend in-house Child Safeguarding programmes;

  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students in the school;

  • Report any concerns they have for the welfare of a student to the Designated Safeguarding Lead;

  • Foster professional relationships with students where personal boundaries are respected and maintained;

  • Seek advice from a Line Manager or the Designated Safeguarding Lead with issues or concerns related to child protection and safeguarding.



Requirements:

  • Permanent Hong Kong residents or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong;

  • Satisfactory Hong Kong Police Criminal Record check;

  • Confirmation of identity (Passport/HK ID card); 

  • Satisfactory references; 

  • Verification of qualifications and work experience
