Job Description
This is an opportunity for an individual with solid thermal and mechanical design experience, project management skill, combining with a proactive aptitude. Our ideal candidate is an individual that will apply technical educational background, strategic thinking and planning skills to succeed in a manufacturing environment driving quality product and highest customer satisfaction.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for leading a team of technical staff accomplishing assigned projects within a specific time frame.
- Lead and guide the development processes from input review to first batch of mass production
- Communicate with customer for specification clarification, change control, improvement proposal, product/design qualification
- Convert customer concept / idea, specification into 3D and 2D drawings
- Perform simulation to validate the design concept
- Work with supplier for prototype samples for preliminary design review
- Finalize the design and material vendor selection/qualification
- Design and prepare SOP and Jit & fixture
- Validate / qualify the product before rolling out to mass production
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 10 year of experience in mechanical design for electronic consumer products, in which 3 years at the senior engineer level (for senior position), with hands-on experience in managing an engineering team
- Strong project management skills and customer/ supplier relationship with proactive, flexible and result-orientated personality
- Familiar with ProE, Solidwork and simulation tools
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with ability to work in a rapid pace environment
- Good knowledge in project management, time management
- Experience working with global team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - fluency in English and Chinese is essential with other language skills a distinct advantage.
