Job Description

What's the job about?

Accountable for the execution of multiple programs and the successful launch of a new breed of wearables devices:

  • Plan and execute development (New Product Introduction) builds, with primary ownership of production validation, early output and ramp. Ensure these products transition to production according to specific cost, quality and capacity targets
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve execution bottlenecks, prepare for production ramp and product transitions
  • Drive ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (i.e. material availability, capacity readiness, transition plans)
  • Consolidate and represent team deliverables at milestones, build checkpoints and program reviews - communicating program status to product management, stakeholders and executive management
  • Develop department budget for revenue, profitability , capital investment and expenses, and continue monitoring to ensure capital and expenses budget to achieve better quality, efficiency and eventually customer satisfaction
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to the Contract Manufacturer’s Project Managers, creating a structured environment that facilitates the team members to meet the program goals and objectives
  • Work with Supply Chain leadership to define and optimize the wearables supply chain strategy, while accounting for specific business strategies, contract manufacturers’ (CM) capabilities assessment and positioning, and project-specific risks, or changes in schedule or demand.
  • Manage partner relationships – interface with partners to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Foster a collaborative relationship that ensures alignment across all companies involved in our projects.

 What we are looking for:

  • A Degree holder in Engineering or related fields, with PMP or other project management certifications preferred
  • 1-2 years of high-tech industry experience with track record of hands-on product management with hardware/consumer electronics devices,and program management experience in consumer technology (web, electronics, mobile / wireless devices)
  • Hands-on experience working with contract manufacturers
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with proven experience in exporting, interpreting and presenting data to key stakeholders and senior management
  • Strong project management skills; has experience in leading complex programs with a set of deliverables with many interdependencies
  • Excellent experience and track record of success with business planning, ROI tracking, budgets management
  • Must be a self-motivated and positive person that works/plays well with others
  • Excellent English skills is essential and fluent in Mandarin is a big advantage
  • Stationed in Northern Vietnam
