Job Description
- Support Bupa applications (BAU) under the supervision of Applicaton Manager.
- Lead a development to adhere the Agile approach and DevOps process.
- Provide regular and effective progress updates to and work closely with Project Managers to ensure the management of any delivery risks or issues.
- Manage project resource scheduling and department capacity planning.
- Participate to effective and trusted relationships with internal and external project stakeholders, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are involved appropriately.
- Work with Solution Architect to review the architectural design and solution delivery.
- Work closely with Business Analysts to review and recommend on business solutions.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance Lead to deliver bug-free applications.
- Manage the delivery of multiple complex simultaneous system development projects from design through to release.
- Capable of understanding and contributing to the technical solution from design through to code level.
- Define the development framework under an agile approach and enforce all team members to follow the same methodology.
- Participate in reviews and meetings and provide updates on project progress.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that risks and issues are identified and managed closely and drive all stakeholders to deliver on time and to the required quality standards.
- Contribute to post implementation reviews helping to demonstrate success or otherwise of projects.
- Share knowledge, build central knowledge repository and continuous learning
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in software engineering, information technology or computer science.
- Minimum 12 years relevant experience with 3 years relevant experience in team leadership role.
- Strong in Agile / SDLC delivery method.
- Experience of leading teams and motivating others to achieve objective.
- Good leadership skills and demonstrable evidence of success in leading medium development team.
- Ability to understand and summarize complex information and present this to mixed audiences.
- IT literate and fully conversant and Microsoft package.
- Professional in both architecture design and implementation-level software design.
- Expertise in Database design/administration, ie. Oracle DB, MS SQL, Azure SQL Server Service
- Broad exposure to wide range of technologies, eg. (Microsoft.Net, C#, MVC, Azure Cloud, SiteCore, Crystal Report, Power BI, API Management, Angular, Azure Synapse, Java, Oracle, PLSQL, SQL Server, MS SQL, Unix Linux, Client Server, Web based) and demonstrated experience in seeking out new and emerging technologies.
- Professional in Dynamic CRM on-line service and Microsoft Azure resource services
- Solid experience with driving continuous integration and delivery of applications using DevOps tools (e.g. MS Azure DevOps)
- Familiar with Mobile App design and implementation
- Insurance or health care experience (Desirable)
- Proven production management experience with strong SLA management, performance management and tuning
- Experience in managing delivery resources, onshore and offshore, in-house and vendor is preferred
- Good command in English and Chinese
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Application Specialist.
