We are looking for a passionate Product Technical Specialist (Senior Technical Specialist for more experience candidates), who is eager to grow in the cosmetics manufacturing industry. This role will be high demanding as we are dealing with the biggest foreign beauty brands and will require role to follow up closely and provide input to client’s product technical demands. This role will be reporting directly the Head of Technical. 

• Provide support to both sales team and clients with product technical recommendation, requirements (ie. testing, efficacy, reports), and feasibility.
• Coordinate with Sales Operation team and their clients with formulation inquiry and request R&D to create sample via PLM (a formulation resource management system)
• Advise client and sales operations the best approach and practices for product technical of primary packaging and formulations.
• Attend customers project briefing meeting to understand each project from project initiation
• Work with Business Development Team on presale preparation for potential high-value clients.
• Recommend specific formulation with primary packaging technical to win the bid order from new client base on sales lead data
• Work with Sales team on following client's best alternative to negotiation brief to suggest acceptable pricing and quality on formulations
• Support Sales Team in preparing a yearly updated innovative formulation pitch on company's core competence products
• Regularly requesting technical support from R&D, QC as well as Purchasing/Sourcing departments for product specs and information, and maintain close connection with both departments
• Understand all technical regulations on formulation and product specs for different market and provide insight to clients
• Coordinate with testing labs for test quotation, sample submission, invoice handling.
• Prepare and check technical file (PIF) to fulfil regulatory requirements of specific market
• Project Manage all legal compliance documentation with internal departments or external third parties

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree holder in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Public Health, or other related Sciences degree is preferred
• At least 3 years of experience working in testing lab or cosmetics product technical environment
• More experience will be considered for senior technical position.
• Good Knowledge with Microbiomes, Active Ingredients, Cosmetics Science, Cosmetic Manufacturing, and Evidence-Based Medicine
• Occasional travel to Greater Bay Area is needed (Frequency = Once a month)
• Well organised with project manager mindset
• Good knowledge and experience with prime packaging and formulation regulation
• Passionate in the Beauty Industry is a plus
• Good communicator is a must
• Self-sufficient learner and critical thinker with problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is a must
• Team player is a must
• Candidate with less experience will be consider as Junior Product Technical Specialist
