About this role:

We are looking for a talented IT System Engineer to join our IT team to provide technical supports in a leading fintech company in Hong Kong. You will be a key player of a team of passionate engineers to deliver our FinTech platform, working with our energic business and technical teams in a fast-growing, highly productive environment. You will also ensure our IT infrastructure and systems are in healthy and secure states, and strive to achieve high performance, zero operational downtime and minimize defects and anomalies. 

What you’ll do and what success looks like in this role:

• Implement and support office and cloud infrastructures including servers, storage, containers, network and system management tools
• Develop scripts and programs to automate system-related operations
• Plan and perform system configurations, backup, maintenance and patching activities
• Monitor system performance, perform system tuning and troubleshooting
• Handle IT Service tasks, Application support, Daily Operations, troubleshooting on various IT related issues and incidents
• Provide remote assistance to user and solve problems remotely
• Proactively perform technology solution study and evaluation to improve system stability, efficiency and manageability
• Manage hardware and software inventory
• Perform ad-hoc jobs as assigned

What is required and what we’re looking for:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or above in IT or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experiences
• Familiar with Windows, Linux, Mac, VMWare, Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 and public cloud platforms
• Knowledge in networking, virtualization, IT security, cloud, system monitoring, firewall, IP phone and VPN
• Excellent scripting skills
• Knowledge of general Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge of Jira, Slack, SDLC and Project management
• Knowledge ITIL Foundation
• Good work ethics and work independently
• Fluent Cantonese and English
• Self-motivated, excited to learn
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Helpdesk Engineer
