SCOPE

Provides advanced level user and system support, investigation, and daily monitoring of hardware, software and services as assigned.  Documents activities, assets, and other relevant record keeping.  Performs advanced troubleshooting of hardware, software and applications.  Communicates effectively and timely with support from vendors, peers, and supervisors.

 ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Identify issues with server hardware and software in a timely manner
• Provide technical support for all aspects of the back-end IT infrastructure including
   -Virtualized servers (VMWare)
   -Office 365
   -Network firewalls
   -AD
   -DNS
• Co-ordinate with IT vendors to deploy hardware life-cycle
• Develop and execute the processes of setting up and maintaining physical and virtual server hardware, operating systems, applications, networking, and storage (Windows/Linus/MacOS/Outlook/AD)
• Effectively and consistently communicate both verbal and written technical and non-technical communication.
• Coordinate and assist with the installation of security and hotfix updates to Operating Systems and Applications.
• Coordinate and assist with hardware and software improvements, upgrades, and repairs as directed.
• Coordinate and assist with asset management, inventory, and related documentation.
• Provide off-hours operational support for emergency maintenance and deployment events as requested
• Business travel to US/APAC countries maybe required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or relevant discipline
• Minimum 4 years of experience in System Administration / IT support
• Intermediate technical writing skills for maintaining relevant documentation
• Good troubleshooting skills on software and hardware
• Experience with Window server, AD, DCs, Printer server, router management, network security etc. is preferred
• Must be able to learn how technology impacts business performance
• Experience in regional exposure would be an advantage
• Able to work independently
