Job Description
A Group of listed companies in Hong Kong is looking for a top management person overseeing financial analysis and controls for different business units.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate the management and financial reports and statutory reporting for the group
- Assist in designing and improving accounting policies, processes, procedures, control systems, IT systems, methodologies and working tools
- Perform all finance aspects of the budgeting and strategic planning process, including the preparation of annual reports
- Perform forecasting and to this end develop a financial forecasting model
- Help control the financial flow of the company and to adjacent entities
- Monthly/ Quarterly management reporting
- Portfolio transaction & investment booking
- Periodic financial statement production
- On demand requests (finance related, IRR calculation, revenues, financial splits, etc)
- Contract verification Evaluate monthly operating performance against budget, prior year and forecast Collaborate with Operations team to enhance productivity and efficiency
- University degree in Business (Administration), Finance, Accounting or any other relevant
- At least 8 years professional experience in a planning, budgeting, cost accounting reporting or control function or internal audit background is also an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and of management tools such as Activity Based Costing, etc
- Exposure in retail/ manufacturing industry/ banking/ securities/ loan finance/ asset management is highly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills Great attention to detail/accuracy
- Ability to work with large data sets and utilize analysis skills to trend and interpret information, and communicate meaningful information effectively.
- Strong Excel knowledge and usage skills
