Your role

• As the key personnel, directly reporting to Head of HKTFS, to in charge of monitoring and reporting assessments of the governance, risk and control of the HKTFS Companies while providing day-to-day support for the board and senior management of HKTFS Companies on matters related to first line risk and governance embedded in business activities/ processes.
• Establish and maintain an effective stakeholder management with relevant internal/ external bodies, including regulators and government agencies/ authorities, to ensure that HKTFS Companies meeting regulatory and legal obligations.
• Serve as subject matter expert in upholding governance, risk and control across all product lines of HKTFS Companies, including monitoring, reporting, and where practicable, contributing to the development of enhanced control measures supporting ongoing and new business strategies as well as operations.
• Identify, implement, and oversee the effectiveness of relevant policies, processes, and systems, daily payment settlement, as well as ensuring compliance with external laws and regulations as applicable to the business operations of HKTFS Companies.
• Be accountable for designing and implementing all necessary actions to ensure achievement of effective governance, risk and control management of HKTFS Companies meeting business and regulatory expectations.
• Oversee and lead the establishment of an effective training and awareness programs to ensure that all relevant personnel have full knowledge and understanding of HKTFS Companies’ governance, risk and control management obligations and related policies, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure the operations of HKTFS Companies are compliant with laws, regulations, rules, and policies.
• Design, implement, maintain and oversee a comprehensive governance, risk and control management program to support the HKTFS Companies’ directors, management and other personnel to identify potential risk events that may affect HKTFS Companies as a whole.
• Lead immediate follow-up and investigation upon any non-compliance or operational risk incident, and provide timely reporting to Group Risk Management and Compliance, as well as monitoring the implementation of effective control/ remedial measures post incident.
• Establish and maintain appropriate budgets to ascertain HKTFS Companies have adequate resources; including suitably qualified and trained personnel; information processing systems; and professional advisers as necessary and appropriately to maintain and enhance HKTFS Companies’ governance, risk and control management.

To succeed in this role

• 12 years of experience within banking/ financial services, particularly in the areas of first line risk management in digital/ Fintech setting.
• Strong leadership in handling complex business risk and regulatory matters pertaining to financial services.
• Sound knowledge in operational, credit risk management and implementation of risk management framework as well as measurement approach.
• Experience leading data driven projects, particularly dealing with automation, data visualization and metrics dashboards.
• Experience with third-party due diligence process.
• Experience integrating risk expertise into a technical software solution a plus.
• Excellent in written and spoken of both Chinese and English
