Job Description

Job Purpose:

The company requires an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to manage the finance and accounting functions for all trading entities located in Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai. This role will assist the Finance Head in working with statutory audit and financial planning and analysis of our trading and shipping business. He/She should work closely with traders, bills operations, shipping operations and directors and produce timely management reports to analyse business performance to report to the Finance Head and CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Finance Manager will:

  • Oversee the daily accounting functions to ensure accounting records are kept in compliance with accounting policies
  • Supervision of accounts receivable and accounts payable for all trading entities
  • Prepare timely, accurate and reliable financial information and report the detailed analysis to finance head, CFO and top management
  • Review internal controls, identify accounting and financial issues, communicate potential impact and recommendations to top management
  • Assist the Accounts Head in preparation of consolidation, treasury functions and taxation activities
  • Assist the Accounts Head in statutory audit, tax filing and transfer pricing with external parties
  • Lead and drive for finance operation process improvement, system implementation projects include but not limit to business intelligence (BI) projects, budget and overhead allocation automation. Manage effective and timely communication on project progress and results to management and supervisor
  • Ad-hoc duties as assigned by management
Skills Required:

Education

  • Degree holder in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline with CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification
Experience
  • More than 6 years of related experience
  • Minimum 3 years auditing experience, preferrable in big 4
  • Industry exposure in commodities trading is an advantage
  • Sound knowledge in the consolidation, latest accounting standards and taxation reporting requirements in Hong Kong and overseas offices such as Singapore and Dubai
  • Knowledge in Oracle EBS R12 Accounts module including AR, AP and GL and cloud based ERP system
  • Experiences in system enhancements
  • Oracle functional experience in report design and running
  • Immediately available preferred

Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power point and Outlook
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting ERP system (e.g. Oracle, Excel4Wands and Cloud system)
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and organized with good reporting and presentation skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Mature, independent, detail oriented, analytical and able to work under pressure
  • Strong team player and good attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills with strong sense of responsibility
  • Open to work in a multi-cultural environment
